College Math Transfer and Testing Credits
The most common way to obtain UA MATH course credit on your UA transcript
is to take and pass that course at the UA. But you can also obtain
UA math credits as follows:

Summer or Transfer Math Course
- College level Intermediate Algebra-If you recently completed a college level Intermediate Algebra course
with a grade of C or higher, you should
bring or fax an unofficial transcript to Math 108 (fax 520-621-8322) as soon as possible. Your full name and
the institution's name must be printed as part of the original document. Write in your UA SID. Your
UA Math Placement Code will be updated at that time. Due to the large volume of faxes, you will not be contacted.
You can check your UA Math Placement Code and list of eligible courses in
Student Link. Students can add classes via web registration through the first week of classes. If a class is full, continue to
check web registration.
- College level Math Course-If you recently completed a college level math course:
- If you need to take a UA Math course below UA Math 129 or a UA Science course, you should
bring or fax an unofficial transcript to Math 108 (fax 520-621-8322) as soon as possible. Your full name and
the institution's name must be printed as part of the original document. Write in your UA SID. Your
UA Math Placement Code will be updated at that time. Due to the large volume of faxes, you will not be contacted.
You can check your UA Math Placement Code and list of eligible courses in
Student Link. Make sure you have also sent an official transcript to UA.
- If your math course was taken outside Arizona, you will need to submit a course evaluation, if you did not have the course pre-approved. If you already filled out this form, you need to contact the Math Department Placement Office when credit for the course appears on your UA record if does not transfer in as a specific UA MATH course and appears under Additional Course Work at the bottom of your SAPR.
