Tucson enjoys 300+ days of sunshine each year. Nearly every day is warm and sunny, but desert evenings can be quite cool. (Layers are an important clothing concept here!) The average high temperature from November through April is 65°–80° with nighttime low temperatures in the 30s, 40s, and 50s. Summer is hot—there’s no getting around it! The average temperature in June, July, August, and September is 95°–100°. Most summer days have low humidity (you’ll hear the expression “but it’s a dry heat” quite often) which helps to keep us more comfortable. With good fortune, we have two rainy seasons per year: the dramatic summer monsoons, and the calmer winter rains in December and January.
