Responsibilities will include: teaching a broad range of mathematics content and pedagogy courses including courses for prospective and experienced teachers of mathematics (K-12); advising undergraduate students in secondary mathematics education; advising, teaching, and supervising mathematics graduate students pursuing Masters or Ph.D. degrees with concentration in mathematics education; carrying out research and other scholarly activity in mathematics education; providing service to the department, the university, and the community; and participating in state and national professional organizations. By the time of the appointment, candidates are required to have a Ph.D. in Mathematics Education (or closely related field) with a strong background in mathematics or a Ph.D. in Mathematics with a strong background in education. Applicants should have an excellent record or potential for research in mathematics education and a strong commitment to teaching and outreach.
