The $B_{dR}^+$-Grassmannian is a p-adic (perfectoid) analogue of the classical affine Grassmannian. It plays an important role in the geometrization of the local Langlands program and the study of Shimura varieties. In this talk, we discuss its geometry in terms of a natural stratification called the Newton stratification, with a particular focus on the case where the underlying group is GLn.
