In this talk, I will discuss two related questions: What are the sources
of big data in hydrology and atmospheric sciences? (e.g., reanalysis,
operational forecasting, satellite data, in situ measurements, and our own
value-added datasets), and How do we analyze big data? (e.g., data
assimilation, prediction, data mining, data evaluation). Examples will be
provided to illustrate the issues.
(Refreshments will be served.)
