Dimension reduction is a commonly used strategy in big data analysis. It is helpful to visualize the data, reduce the computation cost and enhance model interpretability. In this talk, I will review various classical and modern dimension reduction techniques. This talk is accessible to students who have a rough idea on regression and principal component analysis.
