First-generation students are found in every facet of campus life – from classrooms to cultural center, playing fields to research labs, behind a desk or up on stage – there are students, faculty and staff who are proud to be the first in their family to attend college. Understanding how to make the UA a welcoming place for first-gen students can improve their overall academic performance. Engage in a discussion that helps to promote a first-gen friendly campus and classroom.
