To investigate a discrete time juvenile-adult model and the effect of
periodically fluctuating inherent birth & death rates on extinction vs
persistence. This would be done by comparing the primary bifurcation
point for the average birth rate in a periodic environment to that in
a constant environment. The period of the oscillations (relative to
the maturation time unit) and the phase relationship between the birth
and the survival probabilities will be crucial.
