The Math Placement rules were updated in May 2007. A student is eligible for courses based on the current rules or the student's current math placement code. SAT/ACT placement is for Freshman students only and expires after Freshman year.

*Students can also register for MATH 302A with a MATH1 Code of 195 or higher and a MATH2 Code of P. (Your MATH2 Code changes to P when you complete MATH 105.)

**Students who complete UA MATH 109 are given a math code of 245 and are eligible for CHEM 103, 104, 105, 151, 152, MATH 113, 115A (with MIS 111), 160, 263, and 302A.
