Planning and efficient processing of expenditures through the Department Business Office are fundamental to the budget process, especially in assessing the best use of available State and local funds. Processing of business transactions is driven by the needs of the Department. Regardless of the source of funding [i.e., State, local, Federal grants, or contracts], the following policies and procedures are enforced to provide the best service at the most reasonable cost.
