How to tell Mac IE to use a proxy server
Click System Preferences on your dock. Once the window opens click Network. Now select the Proxies tab and check the Web Proxy (HTTP) checkbox. In the two HTTP boxes at the center of the screen, enter the desired proxy server name and port number. Click on Apply Now to close the dialog box.
