Math Center receives 2011 AMS Award for
an Exemplary Program or Achievement in a Mathematics Department

The Math Center has been awarded the 2011 AMS Award for an Exemplary Program or Achievement in a Mathematics Department. There's an article about it in UA News and there is also an article in the May issue of the Notices of the AMS. Congratulations to the Department of Mathematics for the culture that nurtured the Center over the years, and also to Bill Velez for his remarkable efforts in building it up.
