How to apply to the UTA Program
You apply to be an undergraduate teaching assistant for a particular semester. You must be a math major at the University of Arizona to be accepted into the UTA program.
Applying for Spring 2012
Deadline
The deadline has been extended to Thursday, December 8, 2011. Your application material should be submitted to the UTA Program coordinators by that day.
Procedure
- Download and complete the application form.
- Ask one of your math instructors to write a letter of recommendation. The letter can be included with the application, or can be emailed directly by the recommender to Silvia Saccon at ssaccon@math.arizona.edu. The letter should be received by December 08, 2011.
- Turn in the signed application form, the supporting material and your schedule of classes for the Spring Semester to Silvia Saccon in Math 317 or to the Mathematics Department Front Office in Room 108.
- Sign up for the mathematics skills test, take the test, and pass the test. The test will be o ffered on the following days:
- Monday, December 5, 4:00pm-6:00pm,
- Tuesday, December 6, 1:00pm-3:00pm,
- Thursday, December 8, 9:00am-11:00am.
