Agent-based simulation has become an invaluable tool in modeling and understanding complex systems. In a typical agent-based simulation, a series of simple interaction rules can give rise to very complex emergent behavior. This talk focuses on the application of agent-based simulation to a contemporary problem: healthcare. Comparative results are presented showing public healthcare efficiency given different levels of individual agent coverage: uninsured, privately insured, or publicly insured.
Bagels and refreshments will be served.
