Attendance:

Daily attendance is expected from every student. You are responsible for all material covered in class. All cell phones and pagers are to be turned off upon entering the class.

Homework/Quizzes:

Homework will be assigned regularly (usually 2 times a week). In-class quizzes will also be assigned (usually once a week).

Homework is due at the beginning of class on the due date. I will NOT ACCEPT LATE HOMEWORK. There will be no exceptions. Your homework should be readable and organized. If your homework contains more than one page, staple all pages. I will NOT ACCEPT LOOSE SHEETS. Many problems will ask for written explanations. In such cases, use complete sentences to answer the question. Towards the end of the semester, I will drop a few of the low/missing homework scores.

Quizzes can be administered announced or unannounced beforehand. Everyone has to take it at the same time on the same day. There will be no exceptions. Towards the end of the semester, I will drop a few of the low/not taken quiz scores.

Each assignment (quiz/homework) is worth 10 points and a final rescaled score of 150 points will be assigned.

In-Class Exams:

There will be four 100-point in-class exams. All exams are closed note/closed book. Exams will not be curved and no extra credit will be given. The tentative dates of the exams are as follows:
Test 1 Wednesday, February 1
Test 2 Thursday, March 2
Test 3 Thursday, April 6
Test 4 Thursday, April 27

Final Exam:

There will be a 200-point final exam. The exam is on Monday, May 8 from 8:00 to 10:00 am. Everyone must take the exam at this time.
