Conference Hotels:
The principal speakers will be staying at the Four Points Sheraton while the rest of the participants and speakers will be accomodated at the Sahara Hotel. The former is a short walk from the department and later is about 20 minutes away but provides a regular shuttle service to the University Campus. The details of these two hotels is as follows.
Four Points Sheraton is located at the intersection of Campbell Avenue and Speedway Boulevard, 1900 E Speedway Ave. Their phone number is 520-327-7341.

Mathematics Department: is
located to the South-West of the Four Points Sheraton Hotel,
approximately in a 15-minute walking distance. There are campus maps
available at the front desk, or you can use the Interactive Online
Map.
If you are staying at the Sahara Hotel, use the shuttle service provided by the Sahara Hotel to the University Campus (refer to the Sahara Hotel Website for info on the Shuttle Service). The Sahara Hotel is about 20 minute walk from the main campus.
Getting to the Hotels from the Tucson
International Airport: a taxi ride costs approximately $20-$25. A
cheaper, $1 alternative to the Four Points Sheraton is to take a city bus number 6 to Speedway
Boulevard and then walk East for about 15 minutes or change to number 4
or number 5. The bus schedule is available here.
Getting to the Hotels from the Phoenix
International Airport: there is the Arizona Shuttle service,
which operates once every hour. The closest stop is University, which
is about 5-minute walk from the Department and about 20-minute walk from
the Hotels. (Small

The Visitor Guide to The
University of Arizona has useful information regarding
events, museums and exhibits, dining opportunities on and around
campus. At the registration you will also receive a folder with some
useful information and maps. [There is a good breakfast-coffee place,
Bentley's, one short block West of the Hotel, next to a 7-11.].

Internet access: there is a
computer room in the Math Building, there is also free Internet at the
Hotel (if you bring your own laptop), our Main and Science libraries
also
have many computers available for public use.
Weather: is expected to be
mild, so visitors need not fear the desert's extreme heat. Temperature
during the day is most likely to stay in the mid 70s to 80s, with
cooling
down during the night by ~20 degrees. Rains are unlikely.
