Introduction to Statistics (Math160-1) Information

Class Announcements. I will make every effort to keep this up to date, but you are responsible for what is announced in class.

• The finals are done and the grades should be in today. The five number summary for the final exam is:

• For Friday, read the "Commentary on Data Ethics" starting on page 235. Assume that the results of the study conducted in Example 5 on page 240 are extremely important (how is not an issue). As you come in the door, you will be asked for your vote on whether or not the study in example5 is OK. Please bring your vote on a small piece of paper to expedite the process. Two tellers will be asked to count the votes, but the results will not be announced until after a discussion of the issue of whether or not Example 5 is acceptable or not.

• Please review the policy statement on MINITAB assignments. Only computer generated work will receive full credit, and it should be neatly formatted and properly written. It is best to do this in Word, which has more capability than the ReportPad. The Format price goes up to 5 points for the next one!
