Math 109C - College Algebra with Data Analysis

CATALOG DESCRIPTION:

College algebra course that emphasizes data analysis. Topics include functions, rates of change, linear functions, systems of equations, exponential & logarithmic functions, and quadratic functions. Graphing calculators and spreadsheets will be used. It is not intended for students planning to take MATH 122A/B, and it will not serve as a prerequisite for that course. Except as per University policy on repeating a course, credit will not be given for this course if the student has credit in a higher level math course. Such students may be dropped from the course. Examinations are proctored. Credit will be allowed for only one of the following courses: MATH 109, MATH 109C, MATH 110, or MATH 112.


PREREQUISITES:

Proctored/Prep for Calculus 40+ or Proctored/Prep for College Algebra 55+.


COMMON FINAL EXAM:

Math 109C has a common final exam. This means that the time, date, and room of the final exam does not depend on your section's meeting day/time.
