- Read and study pages 2-6 [1.1] & 10-15 [1.2] in your text, Calculus 5th Edition.
- Do WA(0 & 1.1Prep) -- due tomorrow morning by 11:30 AM.
- Do WA(1.1)-- due tomorrow evening by 7:30 PM.
- Complete the worksheet FUNCTIONS (1.1) that was handed out in class today. You can download this handout here. If not finished in class, then this is due tomorrow morning at the beginning of class.
- Read all info on my web page (www.math.arizona.edu/~bridges) pertaining to Math 124.
- Find my office, MTL 124C.
Thursday 12:
- Section [1.2]
- Begin the worksheet EXPONENTIAL FUNCTIONS (1.2) that was handed out in class today. This is to be completed by Tue Jan 17.
- Do WA(1.2Prep)-- due by 11:30 AM tomorrow.
- Read and study pages 17-21 [1.3] in your text, Calculus 5th Edition.
Friday 13:
- Sections [1.2 & 1.3]
- Do WA(1.2 & 1.3Prep) -- due by 11:30 AM Tue Jan 17.
- Go to my website and select Math 124 / Handouts/Answers and download CHAPTER 1 / Problems from [1.1-1.3]. Complete this by Wed Jan 18 at the beginning of class.
- Begin reviewing for the Preliminary Exam that is due on Friday Jan 20.

The exam will cover only chapters 1-7 of this study guide. No calculators are allowed on the exam.
NOTE: THE WORDS "Do WA(_._)" MEAN TO FINISH THE ASSIGNMENT BY 11:30 AM THE NEXT CLASS DAY, UNLESS ANOTHER TIME IS GIVEN.
ALL TEXT BOOK PROBLEMS ARE DUE AT THE BEGINNING OF CLASS ON THE CLASS DAY AFTER THE ENTIRE SECTION IS EXPLAINED.
ALL WORK MUST BE SHOWN ON THESE PROBLEMS.

Tuesday 31:

- Finish WA(2.2)
- Finish Text[2.2]. Be prepared to hand this in at the beginning of class tomorrow.
- Begin review for Test 1 in class.
- Continue studying for Test 1 -- work on Handout #11.
Wednesday 1:
- Continue review for Test 1 in class.
- Study for Test 1 [1.1 -- 2.2]
- Be prepared to hand in Text[2.2] tomorrow.
