Monday:

- Create your WebAssign account at http://webassign.net using the Class Key given out in class today. Note that I will abbreviate "WebAssign" as "WA".
- Read pages 2-6 [1.1] & 10-15 [1.2] in your text, Calculus 5th Edition.
- Complete WA(0) -- due tomorrow evening by 9:30.
- Complete WA(1.1A, 1.1, 1.2A) -- due tomorrow morning by 7:30.
- Read all info on my web page (www.math.arizona.edu/~bridges) pertaining to Math 124.
- Find my office, MTL 124C.
- From my homepage, go to "Math 124 / Handouts & Answers" and download all handouts from #1 through #16 for Chapters 1 & 2. Please keep these in the notebook that you bring to class.
- Begin studying for the Preliminary Test that will be given on Thu Aug 27. Download the study guide at http://prep.math.lsa.umich.edu/pmc [Click on "Enter Module"].
This test, which is worth 50 points out of 750 for your semester average, will not cover chapters 8,9,13,14 of the study guide nor will it cover trig.
No calculators are allowed on this test.

- Read pages 17-21 [1.3] in your text, Calculus 5th Edition.
- Bring Handout #1 to class tomorrow.
- Continue studying for the Preliminary Test.
Wednesday:
- Section [1.3]
- Complete WA(1.3, 1.4A) -- due by 7:30 Friday morning.
- Study for the Preliminary Test -- remember that no calculators are allowed on this test.
- WA(1.1A, 1.2A, 1.3A & 1.2) are open for you to continue to work on.
- Read pages 24-28 [1.4] in your text, Calculus 5th Edition.
Thursday:
- Preliminary Test
- Read pages 17-21 in your text, Calculus 5th Edition.
- Complete WA(1.3, 1.4A) -- due by 7:30 Friday morning.
- Complete Problems from 1.1-1.3 handed out in class today -- these are due at the beginning of class tomorrow -- complete solutions must be given.
Friday:
- Hand in Problems from 1.1-1.3 at the beginning of class.
- Section [1.4]
- Complete WA(1.5A) -- due by 7:30 Monday morning.
- Download and complete Handout #1 -- due at the beginning of class on Monday.
- Begin WA(1.4) -- due by 7:30 Tuesday morning.
Since WA is "always" due at 7:30 a.m. the class day after that section is explained, I will cease writing the due date statement here.
If I choose to have an assignment due at another time or date, I will announce it in class.
