WebAssign for UA Calculus Courses
This is a resource page for students using WebAssign to submit homework in a University of Arizona Calculus course (Math 122A, 122B, 125, 129, or 223).
- Log-in:
It is important to log-in to your class account in WebAssign as soon as possible so you can begin working on the text related homework. Instructors usually set the first homework deadline very early in the course. For all courses except Math 122A, you will be given a grace period of approximately 14 days from the first day of classes to access WebAssign before you must purchase your access code. WebAssign access for Math 122A is free of charge. If you purchase a new Calculus text for Math 122B/125/129 at the UA Bookstore, you will receive a two semester access code for WebAssign. If you purchase a new calculus text for Math 223 at the UA Bookstore, you will receive a one semester access code for WebAssign.
To begin, go to http://webassign.net. Click on the Enter Class Key link on the upper right hand side of the page. The Class Key is composed of three fields. In the first field you will enter the word arizona (all in lower case) followed by two four digit numbers unique to your section. Your instructor will give you those numbers. Click Submit. If the information about your section is correct, click Yes, This Is My Class. At this point, follow the instructions to create a username and password. Once your account is set up, you will not have to use the Class Key again.
We strongly recommend using the portion of your UA email address before the @ symbol as your WebAssign username. This will produce a unique username and minimize any errors in duplicate names. Be sure to correctly enter your full email address when asked to do so. Your instructor will need this link when he/ she needs to contact you. For Math 122A students, also enter your student id.
- Help:
There are some things that are helpful to know about WebAssign at the UA Things To Know and Submitting answers in WebAssign.
WebAssign provides a help guide at http://www.webassign.net/manual/student_guide. You do not need an access code to view this guide.
If you have computer related questions (ex. unable to download a file, hardware compatibility problem, etc.) contact WebAssign directly at http://webassign.net. You will find a link for technical support and a guide after logging-in.
If you have math related questions (ex. unable to start/solve a homework problem, can't find your mistake, etc.) contact your instructor. A list of instructors is available at http://math.arizona.edu/academics/courseinfo. (scroll down to your class)
