Bio: Ksenija received a Ph.D. in pure and applied logic at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh. Her current professional interests are undergraduate and elementary education, especially empowering students to take control of their own learning. Her research interests within CEMELA lie in issues related to mathematics learning in after-school settings. More specifically: how communitities of learners are built; how community knowledge informs learning mathematics; and how elementary school students form critical mathematical knowledge. She is also interested in the role technology and games with mathematical content play in the learning of mathematics.
