Prospective Graduate Students
Admission
All CEMELA graduate students will take courses required by each institution's graduate program in mathematics content, research methods, and mathematics education, hence ensuring a broad and in-depth preparation in mathematics education. To become a CEMELA graduate student, prospective students must be accepted to a graduate program from one of the departments listed below:
At The University of Arizona:
- Department of Mathematics in the College of Science
- Department of Language, Reading and Culture in the College of Education
- Department of Teaching and Teacher Education in the College of Education
At University of California, Santa Cruz:
At University of Illinois at Chicago:
- Department of Curriculum and Instruction in the College of Education
- Department of Policy Studies in the College of Education
At The University of New Mexico:
- Department of Language, Literacy, and Sociocultural Studies
- Department of Educational Specialties (Mathematics, Science, Environmental and Technology Education Program)
Graduate Support
After being accepted to one of the graduate programs above, students can then apply for financial support from CEMELA. Students interested in such financial support should apply online or contact a Principal Investigator of interest.
