Using Turnitin.com:  Students

 

 

If you already have a user name and password for Turnitin.com, go to Step 1b.

 

Step 1a:  Creating Your User Profile and Enrolling in Your First Class

 

Ø      Open the Turnitin.com home page (http://www.turnitin.com).

Ø      Click on the “create a user profile” hyperlink at the upper right corner of the page.

Ø      Select the appropriate user type (student); then click on next.

Ø      Enter the class ID and class enrollment password; then click on next.

Ø      Enter your full email address (e.g., username@email.arizona.edu); then click on next.

Ø      Enter and confirm your desired password; then click on next.  Please note that your password must contain at least one letter and at least one number.

Ø      Enter your name, country of residence, and state of residence; then click on next.

Ø      Click on the “I agree -- create profile” hyperlink.

Ø      Click on the “end wizard and go to login page” hyperlink.

Ø      Go to Step 2.

 

Step 1b:  Enrolling in a Class

 

Ø      Log in to Turnitin.com.

Ø      Click on the “enroll in a class” button.

Ø      Enter the class ID and enrollment password; then click on submit.

Ø      Go to Step 2.

 

Step 2:  Submitting an Assignment

 

Ø      Log in to Turnitin.com.

Ø      Click on the hyperlink for the appropriate class.

Ø      Click on the submit icon next to the appropriate assignment.

Ø      Select “Submit a paper by: file upload”; enter the submission title (Team # and Name of Assignment); click on the “Browse” button and open the appropriate file; then click on submit.  Please note that there is a limit on the file size – you should use Copy/Paste Special for work copied from Excel.

Ø      Click on “yes, submit”.

Ø      Log out.

Ø      You will receive a digital receipt via email.  Please retain that message as evidence that the assignment was submitted as required.
