CASIE
David Lovelock

David Lovelock is a Professor of Mathematics at the University of Arizona. For over 15 years he has been extensively involved in using computers in search situations, as well as being the primary author of the CASIE search software. In addition, he has been involved in experiments on the effectiveness of helicopters in desert and mountain searches.

He has run many invited workshops on using computers during searches at
- the Arizona Law Enforcement Training Academy (Tucson)
- the Allbright Training Center (Grand Canyon)
- the National Park Service (Lake Mead)
- the National Association for Search and Rescue annual meetings
- the Arizona Search Coordinators annual meetings, and
- the New Mexico SAR Coordinators meetings.

He received the Arizona State Award from the National Association For Search And Rescue in 1991.
