- Attendance: Students are expected to attend every scheduled class, and to be familiar with the University Class Attendance policy as it appears in the General Catalog. It is the student's responsibility to keep informed of any announcements, syllabus adjustments, or policy changes made during scheduled classes.
- Exams: There will be a midterm and a final exam. The midterm is tentatively scheduled for Tuesday, October 14, 2008. There will be no make-ups. The University has scheduled the final exam for Tuesday, December 16, 2008, from 8:00 a.m. to 10:am The University's Exam regulations for final exam week will be strictly followed, in particular regarding those students with multiple exams on a single day. Each exam will be worth 150 points.
- Homework: Homework problems will be assigned regularly. Quizzes based on homework assignments will be given on a regular basis and a final Quiz and homework score, equivalent to 200 points, will be computed. This score will be calculated from the 10 best quiz or homework scores of the semester.
- Grades: The total number of points available on the project and homework is 500. Grades will be no lower than as listed below:
- 450 < points (90% to 100%): A
- 400 < points < 449 (80% to 90%): B
- 350 < points < 399 (70% to 80%): C
- 300 < points < 349 (60% to 70%): D
- points < 300 (0% to 60%): E
