Textbook:                              Brief Calculus: Applied Approach, 6th edition by Larson and Edwards

 

Attendance:                          Attendance is required and will be taken every day.  Students with more than three unexcused absences may be dropped from the course.

 

Academic Integrity:             The Code of Academic Integrity will be enforced.  Students found in violation are subject to penalties from loss of credit to an “E” in the course.

 

Calculators:                           A graphing calculator is required.

 

Homework:                            Homework will be assigned on a daily basis and will be scaled to 100 points of the total possible points.

 

Exams:                                    There will be three in-class exams each worth 100 points.  Any questions regarding the grading of exams need to be cleared within one week after the exam is returned.

 

Missed Exams:                      Make-up exams are at the discretion of the instructor and will only be given for an unavoidable and documented absence.

 

Final Exam:                            There is a comprehensive final exam on Tuesday, May 10, 2:00 PM-4:00 PM.

 

 

Grades:                                   Total in-class exams            300 points                              A=90-100%

                                                Homework                             100 points                              B=80-89%

                                                Final Exam                             150 points                              C=70-79%

                                                                                                                                                D=60-69%

                                                Total Possible Points          550 points                              E=0-59%

 

 

Withdrawals:                        A student may withdraw from the course with a deletion from record through February 8 (using RSVP or WebReg).  A student may withdraw with a “W” through March 8.
