Textbook
Mathematics for Business Decisions Part 1, Release 1.5 and 1.5a, 2005,
by Thompson, Lamoureux and Slaten. Publisher: Mathematical
Association of America. The e-text is packaged as boxed software with an
installation CD and Student Notebook containing screen captures of all
PowerPoint slides. Texts are available at the U of A bookstore.

The Eller College of Management is holding a Kick-off for
this course on Wednesday, September 7 at 5:00--6:45 p.m. in ILC 120, with
a make-up session on Saturday, September 10 at 9:00 am in ILC 119.
Participation in this event is mandatory. You will receive credit
for
it as Homework 1.
Homework
Projects
You need to form teams consisting of 4 or 5 students to work two
team projects. Team members can join other groups for project
II, based on each person's performance in Project I. Every team
will give a preliminary oral presentation, a final oral
presentation, and a final written report for each project. The
written report must be submitted in class as a hard copy, and as
an electronic copy on Turnitin.com.
Only one member from each team should be designated to complete
the project report submissions.
