The workshop is based on a set of explanatory essays,
written by mathematicians, that carefully examine core areas of school
algebra. The essays were developed under a grant from the Noyce
Foundation through the Charles A. Dana center. A link for the essays
will be provided to participants closer to the workshop.
At the workshop, teams of mathematicians, educators, and teachers
revise the essays and produce surrounding support materials for them,
such as problem sets, case studies, and curriculum guides, which can
be used in teacher preparation, teacher professional development,
standards development, and task design.
More essays are on the
workshop wiki site.
