  We are currently developing a theoretical model that analyzes the oxygen-dependent release of ATP by red blood cells and the role of conducted responses and capillary recruitment in metabolic blood flow regulation. We are also examining the model's predictions of limit cycle oscillations in vessel diameter as a potential mechanism for vasomotion. (Advisor: Dr. Timothy Secomb)
