Homework 5
Due Thursday 2-15
There's a lot of terminology in section 8.1. The important thing
is to communicate ideas clearly and unambiguously. So pay careful
attention to how you name and label lines, rays, line segments, angles,
measures of angles, etc. We use different symbols for talking
about measures of angles and angles, see pg 503-504. Also, be
sure you understand the difference between the congruence sign and the
equal sign, see pg. 503-504 (we didn't go over this in class).
- Section 8.1. pg 505-506: 2, 5, 9, 10
- A dot is drawn somewhere on the front of a piece of notebook paper. How can you describe exactly
where that dot is to someone? Come up with two different ways.
What is the minimum number of pieces of information that you need
to describe where the dot is?
