Homework 6

There is a lot of vocabulary in section 8.2. We won't be able to
cover it all in class so read through it all and ask in class if you
have any questions.
- Finish the handout. We'll talk more about that on Tuesday (some of it I'm more interested in than others).
- Section 8.2. pg. 542-543:
- 1(b&c): Before you do this, read Investigation 8.6 on pg
512. If there are words you don't know or understand (like convex
or concave) then look them up in the book or ask in class.
- 3c: Describe at least 5 shapes in the quilt. The
descriptions don't need to be terribly lengthy, that's the value of
having the vocabulary. For example, if you say "the dark green
figure in the center of the quilt design is a regular hexagon" then
that is fine (this can count for one of your 5 as long as you
understand what a "regular hexagon" is.).
