Introduction
Welcome! I just finished my PhD in Applied Mathematics at the University of Arizona. My dissertation advisor was Professor Joseph Watkins, and my dissertation is titled A Stochastic Spatial Model for Invasive Plants and A General Theory of Monotonicity for Interaction Map Particle Systems. Specifically I worked on understanding monotonicity for multi-type contact processes, and looked at an exclusive resource two-type contact process.
The picture at right was taken in Antibes, France overlooking the Mediteranean during the summer of 2006.
I'll soon be at the University of Canterbury for a post-doctoral research position modeling plant invasions and trying to understand the effects of several environmental factors and dispersal mechanisms.
