About Me

I'm a graduate student in the mathematics program at the University of Arizona. Currently I'm interested in geometry and analysis, and how ideas from these areas can be used to solve problems in discrete/computational geometry.

I completed my undergraduate work at the University of Arizona, majoring in Mathematics and Computer Science. As a mathematics undergraduate, I gravitated toward algebra and discrete math. In addition to the usual coursework (analysis, algebra, linear algebra, etc.) I took courses in cryptography, information theory, logic, and graph theory. I've also worked on a few projects writing code for the computer algebra system GAP.

As a computer science student, I wrote a lot of code in C, Java, and Python. My favorite CS courses were algorithms and compilers. Currently, I'm trying to add some functional programming languages, like Common Lisp and Haskell, to my repertoire.

According to Dr. Savitt's Springer GTM Test, I am Saunders Mac Lane's Categories for the Working Mathematician.
