Some personal stuff

With the new Star Trek film, I thought some people might find this picture amusing:


Photographs taken by my grandfather in Japan, summer 1945. The last two in the series show the aftermath of the atom bomb in Nagasaki; the first four were taken after the fire-bombing in a nearby town (I'm not absolutely certain of all details, and both my grandparents passed away some years ago).
