If you have done this problem completely correctly in Lesson 14, you can turn in your previous work.

*Regarding 4.8: Assume that  x  is not 1.  Use an equivalent form of  “IF  p THEN ( q OR  r)”  (see extra problem in Lesson 5) to change the statement you are given to an equivalent, simpler statement (simpler in the sense that it is easier to prove).
EXPLAIN THE NONTRIVIAL ALGEBRAIC STEPS IN YOUR CALCULATION, IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE ERRORS DISCUSSED IN PROJECT I. (See Algebra Guidelines posted online.)
