Project Integrity Statement
This should be submitted as a cover sheet with your final version of any group project. Note that this requires you to vouch for the participation of all members of the group in the solution of the project, including but not limited to yourself.
Be sure to read all information below, including information about sending me your email address.

Course Policy   READ!

Email address:  As soon as possible,  please send me (laetsch@math.arizona.edu) an email, from which I will take your email address to add to the list of email addresses for the class. Be sure to include your NAME and your COURSE and SECTION NUMBER.  Also, be sure to indicate in your email that this is the email address you want me to use for my email address list, since I do not check every email I receive to see if you are on my email list.
If you have sent me your email address and you are not receiving email from me, let me know. You will be receiving email at least once a week, often at least once a day.
Please note that when I send email to the class, everyone in the class might be able to see all email addresses.

I welcome email inquiries from students about homework questions, or any other questions you may have about the course. If you ask me a question about homework, however, please remember two things:
  • I don't necessarily have with me when I read your email the textbook or the worksheet which describes the problem you are asking me about. Even if the entire details of the assignment are written out online, it may be inconvenient to open my browser and check the assignment. So please give me a description of the problem you are asking me about.
  • Inquiries received the night before the assignment is due might not be answered in time to help you with homework due the following day.
Always include a Subject when sending email.
Also, if your email is regarding something for which I need to know who you are, such as a question about registration or scores, be sure to include your NAME (with last name) and your SECTION NUMBER.
Remember, your email address alone does not necessarily tell me who you are.

Students with Disabilities: If you anticipate barriers related to the format or requirements of this course, please meet with me so that we can discuss ways to ensure your full participation in the course. If you determine that disability-related accommodations are necessary, it is very important that you be registered with Disability Resources (621-3268; drc.arizona.edu) and notify me of your eligibility for reasonable accommodations. We can then plan how best to coordinate your accommodations.

The shame of speaking unskilfully were small if the tongue onely thereby were disgrac'd: But as the Image of a King in his Seale ill-represented is not so much a blemish to the waxe, or the Signet that seal'd it, as to the Prince it representeth, so disordered speech is not so much injury to the lips that give it forth, as to the disproportion and incoherence of things in themselves, so negligently expressed. Neither can his Mind be thought to be in Tune, whose words do jarre; nor his reason in frame, whose sentence is preposterous; nor his Elocution clear and perfect, whose utterance breaks itself into fragments and uncertainties. Negligent speech doth not onely discredit the person of the Speaker, but it discrediteth the opinion of his reason and judgement; it discrediteth the force and uniformity of the matter and substance. If it be so then in words, which fly and 'scape censure, and where one good Phrase asks pardon for many incongruities and faults, how then shall he be thought wise whose penning is thin and shallow? How shall you look for wit from him whose leasure and head, assisted with the examination of his eyes, yeeld you no life or sharpnesse in his writing?

Ben Jonson (emphasis added)
