- Sect. 9.2:
- Exercises 1*, 4*, 6*.
* Add the following to EACH of the assigned Exercises:
- Explain clearly your answer to Ex. 1, and prove your answers to Ex. 4 and Ex. 6.
- For Ex. 1 and Ex. 4, sketch a graph of fn for a large value of n.
- In each case, sketch a graph of the limit function f.
- Comment on the continuity and differentiability of the functions fn and f on their respective domains. (E.g., for Ex. 1, is each fn continuous on its domain? Is f continuous on its domain?)
- Comment on the integrability of the functions fn and f on the following intervals:
- Ex. 1, on [-2, 2].
- Ex. 4, on [0, 1].
- Ex. 6, on [-b, b] for 0 < |b| < 1.
