I am working on this project with Dr. Alain Goriely and Dr. Ardith El-Kareh. We are looking at the growth of solid tumors. One aspect of growth is the formation of residual stress in the tumor, which has implications for growth rates and vascular collapse. Another aspect of my research is the interaction between the immune system and tumors, including chemotherapy. The modeling seeks to answer questions about the role of the immune system during chemotherapy.
