THE STUDENT SATELLITE PROJECT IS HOLDING ITS FALL 2000 ORIENTATION! "Enough with the problem sets, now make it real"-SSP Motto The Student Satellite Project (SSP) is a collection of students from varied disciplines who have come together to build the U of A's first small satellite, the UASat. The students gain real, hands-on experience working on a complex goal, and also gain experience networking with students from other fields to achieve this goal. The fall orientation for students interested in the SSP will be held September 11th, at 4:00 P.M. in the Physics and Atmospheric Sciences (PAS) Bldg., Room 201. The orientation will take roughly one hour, and pizza will be served afterward. This is a great chance to hear about SSP, talk with students and their Mentors who are already involved in the project, and just possibly have an item on your resume that very few can duplicate. Did we also mention Pizza will be served afterward? Please send questions or comments to ssp-admin@uasat.arizona.edu, and check out our website at http://uasat.arizona.edu (no pizza on the website, but we'll have it after the orientation). Sincerely, Jon Alberding SSP Project Manager ssp-admin@uasat.arizona.edu
