Math 500A: Research on Student Learning of Mathematics for Teachers, Fall 2007

Rebecca McGraw, Monday 6:00—8:30 p.m., Math East 143

In this course, students develop knowledge of research methods and findings related to student learning of mathematics, and consider how to apply research to a variety of classroom contexts. Topics include cognitive demand, motivation, algorithms, rational numbers, geometry, and algebraic thinking.
