I am the Deputy Director of Canada/USA Mathcamp,
a five-week summer program for mathematically gifted high school students.
Here is an article on Mathcamp 2003 from the Toronto Globe and Mail.
Teaching:
I have taught at Mathcamp since 1996. Here are handouts, problem sets, and references from some of my classes:
Pell's Equation -- taught from Ed Barbeau's book using the Moore Method
Abel's Theorem -- co-taught using the Moore Method from a translation
of a problem book by V. Alexeev (e-mail if interested)
Differential Fields -- taught from these notes
by Matthew Wiener and maintained by Dave Rusin
In addition, I have taught courses on continued factions, elliptic curves, p-adic numbers, lattices and Minkowski's
Theorem, finite fields in combinatorics, knot theory, and finite groups
of small order.
Team Problem Solving contests:
Here are many of the Team Problem Solving contests from 2003 and 2004.
Almost all problems were proposed
by Dorin Andrica.
