I am involved with puzzles and puzzle-solving in a variety of ways.
In 2002, 2003, and 2004, I was a member of the Canadian team at the World Puzzle Championships. Competition links:

At Mathcamp 2004, I ran a workshop on solving Mystery Hunt puzzles. Here is the list of puzzles that I used as the skeleton of my presentation.
In 2002, I ran a mini-puzzle hunt at Mathcamp, in the (successful!) hope that it would encourage a Mathcamp team for the MIT Mystery Hunt. As they often do at Mathcamp, the tradition stuck. Here are the Mathcamp puzzle hunts:
