Math Department Grader Request Form - Spring 2008

Deadline for Submission: Friday, January 18, 2008

The Department has a very limited budget for hiring graders to assist instructors. The following describes current policies and information regarding graders:

  1. Whenever possible, instructors should consider online grading tools (such as WebAssign) as an alternative to hiring a grader.
  2. Evaluation of grader requests and the number of hours approved is based on an instructor's teaching load and total number of students. In general, an instructor with only one course is not eligible for a grader.
  3. You will receive a written response to your request for a grader by Wednesday, January 23, 2008. This memo will tell you the appropriate steps to complete the process of hiring a grader. Please follow the instructions in this memo carefully.
  4. If your request is approved, it is your responsibility to find a grader. A current list of grader applicants, along with contact information and a brief list of qualifications, will be available in Room 108 by January 23.
  5. The deadline for submitting the Grader Request Form is January 18, 2008. Requests submitted after the deadline will not be considered.
