I'm a PhD candidate in the University of Arizona Program in Applied Mathematics. The focus of my research is the development of Bayesian hierarchical models to reconstruct paleoclimate from tree-ring width. My goal is to incorporate information about the nonlinear, potentially non-stationary processes by which past climate signals were imprinted on these proxy archives by using a model of tree-ring growth within the Bayesian hierarchy.
