How to apply to the URA Program

To apply, bring to the Math Center:

• a completed application form
• a brief description of your proposed project
• a supporting letter from your faculty sponsor

Finding a faculty sponsor

Browse the ideas for research projects; if you see one you like, approach the faculty member who proposed it. (If you are unsure how to approach the faculty member, come to the Math Center for help.)

If there is a a professor whose class you particularly liked, you might also simply ask him or her for ideas. Or, if you have an idea for a project you'd like to work on, but are not sure with whom you could work on it, come to the Math Center for help.
