Background

Since my undergraduate in Math at Brigham Young University, I have been exposed to several things that developed my passion for data science. A Careers in Math Seminar opened my eyes to various jobs in data science while a Probability and Modeling Seminar taught what tools are out there. Not to mention other statistics, math, and computer science classes and internships.

Now

I am a PhD candidate in the Applied Math graduate interdisciplinary program at the University of Arizona. I am working on problems in machine learning and optimization with Dr. Neng Fan of the Systems and Industrial Engineering department.

Future

I hope to able to apply my knowledge and abilities to develop cutting-edge machine learning algorithms in the industry. I love teaching and hope to be able to show others how machine learning works and can help.
