Strong flux can deform the free low-energy theory of an M5-brane and induce nonlocal interactions on its 6d worldvolume. This leads to a novel quantum field theory that depends on a fixed curve as a parameter. I'll present the string theoretic arguments for the existence of such a theory and propose a supersymmetric interacting Lagrangian, developed explicitly up to quartic order.
