ENTRANCE REQUIREMENTS: The Math Department has strict entrance requirements for our courses and does not waive them for any student. You must qualify in order to take a Math course.
- For some courses like Math 106, 107, 108, 112, you need a sufficient test score.
- For others, like Math 113, 116, 120R, 119A, 122A/B, 125, you need a recent prerequisite or a sufficient test score.

SUMMER OPPORTUNITIES TO IMPROVE MY PLACEMENT: There are several opportunities for students during the summer.

- You can take a summer credit course through:
- UArizona New Start Summer Program, which begins June 12, 2023.
- Taking a summer class at UArizona. Consult your academic advisor if you are considering this option.
- Taking a summer class at non-UArizona institutions. If you are considering this option, make sure you are taking the correct course. Check here or submit an evaluation.
- Participate in a UArizona non-credit summer review program, Wildcat Leap.
- If you are not able to participate in New Start or Wildcat Leap, you can review on your own.
- If you have taken the PPL, you can use the Prep and Learning module to review before testing again.
