To Check For .NET Framework 1.1

SAR T-Cards requires that Windows XP has been updated by installing the Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1. You must have Administrator privileges to update the operating system.

You can check to see if the .NET Framework 1.1 is installed by clicking Start on your Windows desktop, selecting Control Panel, and then double-clicking the Add or Remove Programs icon. When that window appears, scroll through the list of applications. If you see "Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1" listed, it is installed.

Alternatively, you can check to see if the .NET Framework 1.1 is installed by downloading the file CheckNET.zip, unzipping it, and running it.

If the .NET Framework 1.1 is not installed, then there are two different ways to install it.

Automatically. Run Microsoft Windows Update. You will find the free .NET Framework 1.1 under Custom installation (rather than the Express installation). After the .NET Framework 1.1 is installed, you should run Microsoft Windows Update a second time to download the security patch, Service Pack 1, for the .NET Framework 1.1.
Manually. Download dotnetfx.exe from Microsoft. Running it installs the .NET Framework 1.1. Then download NDP1.1sp1-KB867460-X86.exe from Microsoft. Running it installs the .NET Framework 1.1 Service Pack 1.

Some have mistakenly downloaded the ".NET Framework SDK Version 1.1", which is the Software Development Kit and is 106 MB. You do NOT need this.

To Download SAR T-Cards

This is an alpha version of SAR T-Cards. It has received no field testing. It is designed to run under Windows XP if Windows has been updated by installing the Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1.

This program may be freely distributed by any means, including the web, provided that there is no fee or charge or consideration of any kind which is in excess of $8. However, we retain all the rights of the program.

To Install SAR T-Cards

To install SAR T-Cards, unzip InstallSARTCards.zip and run InstallSARTCards.exe. You will be asked where you want to save the SAR T-Cards, and whether you want a shortcut created on the Desktop. SAR T-Cards does not make any changes to your operating system and uninstalls cleanly. It can be run from a hard drive, a zip drive, a thumb drive, or a CD (assuming the files created by SAR T-Cards can be saved to a writable drive).

To Run SAR T-Cards

To run SAR T-Cards, either use the shortcut on the Desktop or move to the folder containing the files and select the application SARTCards, that is, SARTCards.exe. Windows must first be updated by installing Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1.

To Upgrade SAR T-Cards

To upgrade, make sure that SAR T-Cards is not running and then overwrite the old SAR T-Cards files with the upgraded SAR T-Cards files.

To Uninstall SAR T-Cards

To uninstall SAR T-Cards, delete the folder containing the SAR T-Cards files, and delete the shortcut on the Desktop.
