Thus, you should expect to spend at least six hours a week working on this material out of class. OFFICE HOURS: MWF 7:30 - 8:00 (in Math 101), MWF 8:50 - 9:15 (in Math 314). Open-door policy, and by appointment. I will also use EMAIL to answer your questions. REMINDERS: The attendance of lectures is not compulsory, but strongly encouraged. It is your responsibility to be aware of all announcements (both written and oral) made in class. It is also your responsibility to be informed of University policies described in the catalog, and in the "Code of Academic Integrity".
SOFTWARE: We will be using the free UA software extensively, particularly SLOPES. You may copy or run the software in Math 226. To copy UA programs, take a formatted, empty disk (one for each program) to room 226 and copy the program you want from the UA menu. To get all the UA programs, for installation on your hard drive (needs about 20 megs) take 9 formatted, empty, 3.5" high density disks, get out of the UA menu and type COPYUA. Follow the instructions. |
